January 2026
Consortium partners from the Università degli Studi di Brescia, Prof. Alberto Salvadori, Mattia Serpelloni, and R. M. McMeeking, represented the dealiiX project at the Mechano-X Workshop 2026, held from 4 to 7 January 2026 at the Mechano-X Institute, Tsinghua University, and the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center.
During the workshop, our colleagues took part in the session “Modeling the Chemo-Mechanics of Cell Motility and Blood Clotting”, contributing to scientific discussions at the crossroads of mechanics, materials science, and biology. The event brought together leading international researchers, creating a stimulating environment for interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration.
The Brescia team presented and discussed recent achievements from the dealiiX project in the modeling and simulation of complex biological processes. Their contributions sparked vibrant discussions on multiscale and multiphysics approaches, highlighting the role of advanced computational methods in tackling challenges in mechanobiology and biomedical engineering.

Participation in Mechano-X Workshop 2026 offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen international collaborations, exchange ideas with a highly interdisciplinary community, and position dealiiX within a global research ecosystem shaping the future of computational mechanobiology.
Many thanks to our colleagues from the University of Brescia for representing dealiiX and showcasing their excellent work. Their contributions continue to strengthen the project’s scientific impact and international visibility.
