dealiiX at HiPEAC 2026: Advancing Scientific Applications for the Exascale Era

Categories news

Prof. Martin Kronbichler represented the #dealiiX project at the HiPEAC Conference in Kraków, contributing both with a presentation of project activities and a panel discussion within the track “Rethinking scientific applications for exascale and emerging architectures: the Centre of Excellence challenge.”

As Europe’s leading forum for computer architecture and system software, HiPEAC brings together experts shaping the future of computing, from energy-efficient systems to machine learning and cybersecurity. Within this context, the session gathered several EuroHPC Centres of Excellence to tackle a shared question: how do we redesign scientific applications to fully leverage next-generation supercomputing platforms?

With HPC and quantum technologies evolving rapidly, adapting legacy codes and developing scalable algorithms is no longer optional. It is essential for addressing complex scientific and societal challenges. The discussion offered a valuable space to exchange best practices, explore innovative approaches, and strengthen collaboration across the European HPC ecosystem.

👏 Thanks to Prof. Kronbichler for showcasing dealiiX’s work and contributing to a dialogue that is helping shape the software foundations of the exascale era.
